I love photography blogs where I can just scroll through the pages, and see the photographer's photos - beautiful photos - and be inspired. And that's what I'd like Clicked and Captured to be become.
Also - for the year of 2011, I've started my own Project 365 - you know, the popular one-photo-a-day-for-a-year challenge?
However, I've decided to give myself a theme for these 365 days - "me". As a photographer, I sometimes feel that I'm a bit neglected in my photos. Other people, other emotions, other things. Those, obviously, aren't bad at all, and I'm definitely going to keep snapping those photos as usual.
But, for this project, my goal is to capture ME each day...Not necessarily a self-portrait, but somehow incorporating myself, what I did, where I was at and how it applied to me...into the photo. Every day, for the whole year. It's a little bit uncomfortable (I almost feel selfish) focusing completely on "myself", but I'm looking forward to exploring more creative ways to incorporate me in my photos.

{taken with my new 50mm f/1.4 lens that i got for Christmas. totally love it!}
We celebrated the new year by visiting some friends of ours yesterday and staying until midnight and beyond...needless to say, I slept in rather late today. And then stayed in my pajamas until about 4pm. I love Christmas break so. (And these coke pants are favorites of mine.) ;)
I'll try to keep you updated weekly on my "me" shots (and they'll all be uploaded to flickr!). Also, stay tuned for more photos and such coming this week!
love,
hannah

ps - if you'd like to join my challenge - for a week, a month or two, or the whole year - you're more than welcome to! be sure give me due credit for this idea, though...and please, send me a link to where you'll be sharing your shots!
I love how you picked a theme for your 365. I'm looking forward to all the lovely photos you'll be taking. :)
ReplyDeleteHappy New Year, girly!
Wow sounds interesting! I'm doing the normal 365. This is going to be difficult!
ReplyDeleteAlthough I love your wordy posts I'm glad you're going to more pictures. I do read your other blog after all. :-D
I actually am doing something similar. I am doing 52 weeks of me. I was planning on only doing 27 photos of me. But I realize that's not that much.
ReplyDeleteGood Luck. I can't wait to see your photos!

Love it! That's exciting!
ReplyDeleteThat would be so much fun! sadly, I don't have time to post a picture a day, maybe I could do one every other day!
ReplyDeleteCoke, hmm....I am a SERIOUS Dr. Pepper gal over here!
I know someone who did something very similar, the photos were awesome to look at! I look forward to them. :)
ReplyDeleteAshley - I won't be posting a photo a day, just taking one. I'm hoping to update y'all weekly, posting my seven photos from the past week. Or something like that!
ReplyDeleteHi Hannah! I really want to take more pictures this year, so yes, I want to join you. I also will be posting my photos at the end of the week (sometime between Friday and Sunday) as a recap. I missed day one, so I will be one short for the week. I hope I can get some beautiful captures!!! Blessings!
ReplyDeleteI think that it is super neat that you picked a theme for your Project365! :) I don't think I could do that right now... haha.
ReplyDeleteBUT, I am doing a regular Project365 on my blog
